About QRpilot

QRpilot is an independent browser-based toolkit for creating and scanning QR codes. It is maintained as a focused utility with documented validation rules, privacy boundaries, and practical testing guidance.

What QRpilot does

The generators turn information you enter into established QR payload formats. Wi-Fi details become a Wi-Fi configuration payload; URLs are encoded directly; and supported payment details are assembled according to the selected payment format. The generated PNG and SVG files are created in your browser.

What QRpilot does not do

QRpilot does not host redirect links, process payments, confirm bank-account ownership, guarantee compatibility with every scanner, or store generator fields in a database. A valid payload proves only that the supplied data could be encoded according to the implemented rules. Users must verify the result with the intended device, banking application, or destination.

How changes are checked

Code changes are checked with linting, TypeScript validation, focused payload checks, and a production build. Payment payloads include format-specific validation and checksum generation where the format requires it. Browser and banking-app behavior can change independently, so the site publishes limitations and asks users to test important codes before distribution.

Editorial approach

The QRpilot guides are written for this project and manually reviewed before publication. Technical specifications and provider documentation are cited where relevant, while recommendations distinguish QRpilot’s own implementation choices from requirements imposed by a device or payment provider.
